Marcella Beam is the Executive Director of Healthy Cabarrus and former Program Manager for the Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) at the Cabarrus Health Alliance. In her role as Executive Director, Marcella oversees the action plan development for the identified priority areas and assists with coalition work to ensure progress is made to address local health issues and disparities. Through the REACH program, Marcella assisted with implementing policy, systems and environmental approaches focused on increasing access to healthy food and beverages as well as opportunities for physical activity. Prior to her role with Healthy Cabarrus, she worked in substance use prevention in Mecklenburg County and as a local cable TV reporter for Channel 33 News in Cleveland County, NC.
