Description

The Ducktona Dash is a FREE Family Fun Event with a HUGE rubber duck race as part of family oriented festival. If you are an avid runner/walker, Cabarrus County holds an 5K/10K Road Race beginning at 9am in the same spot that the festival takes place. As the 5K/10K race finishes, the Ducktona Dash begins. There will be food and shopping galore! There are lots of unique vendors: from Intricate Wood carved creations, Funky Handmade Jewelry, Clothing, and Baskets, other Handmade items from the home, Dog Houses, Intricate Knit and Crochet items, Face Painting and a Kid?s Zone with activities, bouncy house, to participating in the Duck Race, or the Corporate Duck Beauty Pageant! There will be something for everyone to enjoy. The Duck Race will commence at 12pm with over 4,000 ducks racing to the finish to ?End Senior Hunger? in Cabarrus County. Prizes will be awarded to the Top 40 ?Race Finishers?. 1st Place wins $750, 2nd Place = $500, 3rd Place = $250, 4th thru 40th Place will win one of a variety of prizes such as: Golf Packages, Hotel Stays, Sports Tickets, Jewelry, Shopping or Restaurant Gift Cards, NFL Memorabilia, other Fantastic Prizes!!
