*American Red Cross Disaster Relief Volunteer Training (Virtual)

Description

Do you have what it takes to be an American Red Cross volunteer disaster responder? On December 3rd, 2022, we’re offering a fast-track virtual Boot Camp for those interested in joining our Rowan/Cabarrus County Disaster Action Team. Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers are the first to roll up their sleeves, grab their gear, and respond – year-round - to local disasters like home fires. Because of our volunteers, impacted residents receive immediate assistance for food, lodging, clothing, prescription replacement, and long-term recovery support. If you are at least 18 years old, compassionate, an active listener, and willing to be on-call to at least one week each month, we will train you. All boot camp participants must fully complete a volunteer application with the Red Cross – including a background check – prior to the training.
