The Junior Charity League of Concord is hosting it's 4th Annual Good for the Heart Health Fest and Races. The 5K is one loop and the 10K is a double loop. There is a Health Fair the morning hosted by area health care professionals who will be providing interactive activities and games for community memebrs to learn more about living a healthy active life style. There is a 1 mile Fun run for kids, face painting, crafts, and prizes. Online registration is open until February 20, 2014 at 1159pm. You can register on February 21, 2014 from 9am till noon by calling the JCL office at 704-652-0669. Proceeds from this event will benefit Cabarrus County School children in need of warm winter coats clothing through the JCL Mariam Schramm Clothing Room. Each year over 1300 children in grades kindergarten through twelfth pick out much needed necessities including shoes, winter coats, sweatshirts and pants. This service project is funded as a result of JCL fundraisers, community donations and grants.
